API Storage Tank Conference and Safe Tank Entry Workshop

API’s annual Storage Tank Conference, preceded by a two-day Safe Tank Entry Workshop are educational programs that focus on the latest management practices for aboveground storage tanks. They also give you plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues and establish new business connections.

API Safe Tank Entry Workshop (October 18-19)
Attendees learn the basics of ensuring safe tank entry and maintenance. Topics cover tank decommissioning, isolation, degassing, safe tank entry, cleaning, return to service, and associated work. This hands-on program also provides an understanding of atmospheric monitoring, with instruction in the operation, calibration, and maintenance of field instruments that sample and analyze levels of oxygen, gases, and vapors. Attendees have the chance to calibrate and use the instruments. NFPA will award 0.7 Continuing Education Units for each day of instruction.

API Storage Tank Conference (October 20-21)
The annual API Storage Tank Conference provides attendees with new information on tank-related research, latest technologies, and API petroleum standards. The conference features multiple panels and speakers that will help you understand the requirements to maintain tank integrity while complying with new and existing environmental rules.

API has arranged a discount room block at the Argonaut Hotel for $175/night Single/Double. We are pleased to announce that this discount rate is also available three days before and three days after the meeting.
