WASHINGTON, March 20, 2018 – API issued the following statement regarding the release of EPA’s proposed amendments to its refinery emissions regulations based on analyses that, after significant effort and years in review, show that refineries are operating at safe air emissions levels to protect public health.
API: Department of Commerce’s Steel Tariffs Exclusion Process Must Demonstrate Clarity and Flexibility
WASHINGTON, March 19, 2018 – API President and CEO Jack Gerard highlighted the importance of having clarity and flexibility with the Commerce Department’s newly announced exclusion process for the steel and aluminum import tariffs for U.S. companies.
WASHINGTON, March 15, 2018 – Led by gasoline and seasonal demand for heating fuels, U.S. petroleum demand hit 20.3 million barrels per day (MBD) in February. Demand was up by more than a million barrels per day from February of last year, nearing record highs not seen for more than a decade.
